A real personal guide — one that actually knows you.

Four layers that turn a generic trip into the one you'll remember for years.

Hyper‑personalization

A guide who actually knows you.

Tell WeGuide what you love — slow mornings or packed days, food-first or shrines-first, history deep-dives or quiet moments. Your guide talks to you about what you care about, in a tone that fits your style. Every story, every detour, every silence is shaped around you. This isn't an audio player with one recording for everyone — it's a companion that knows your pace and answers your questions. The result: a trip that feels like it was designed for one — because it was.

WeGuide AI app — personalized profile tuned to your travel style

Anti-crowd routing

Not a crowd map. A route that dodges crowds before you see them.

Other apps show you where the congestion is — a red blob on a map you still have to walk around. WeGuide simply leads you down a different, equally beautiful street. Crowds shifting at Senso-ji? Rain rolling in over Yanaka? Energy fading after the second temple? Your route changes the way a seasoned local guide would change it — before you ever hit the crowd. Every turn comes with a story, not just a direction.

WeGuide AI app — smart real-time routing with live navigation

Marketplace of routes

Walk with Japan's most-loved creators.

Pick from routes built by Japan experts — guides, podcasters, and creators who know the country inside out. Their best spots (the ones they used to save for paying clients only), their voice — cloned with their consent — guiding you, telling stories, answering your questions. And it's fair: the creator gets paid every time their route sells, at a share several times higher than the market standard. You're not following an algorithm. You're walking with them.

Route Builder

Or build your own — your way.

Want full control? Tell WeGuide where you're staying, how you like to move (slow walks? metro hops?), how long you've got. The AI builds a day around your style — or you stack the spots yourself from 1,250+ hand-verified places in Tokyo. Adjust the pace, swap a stop, generate again. Your trip, your rules.

Creator routes — in their own voice

Creator-authored routes — narrated in the creator's cloned voice that guides you, tells stories and answers questions. Buy once, keep forever.

Every voice is cloned with the creator's consent — and creators earn a share several times higher than the market standard each time a route sells.

A route never expires. Activating it is what uses it up, and after you've walked it the route stays on your account — run it again any time, with the voice guide at the usual day rate or with navigation alone.

This is the trip I came for.

Sarah K. · designer · Brooklyn

Travelers who finally felt Japan.

I spent 6 weeks building Excel sheets and Pinterest boards. Two days into Tokyo I was already losing hours scrolling Google Maps when something didn't go to plan. WeGuide rerouted me from a closed shrine to a 7-table sushi place in Yanaka I'd never have found. I walked out laughing. That's the trip I came for.

My partner and I almost cancelled Kyoto when rain hit our second morning. Our app pivoted us to a tea house in Higashiyama with a covered garden and a slow narration about wabi-sabi. By the time the rain stopped we didn't want to leave. Best Plan B of our lives.

Lukas & Elena R.

I'm skeptical of AI everything. But this one knew when to talk and when to shut up. It told me a 90-second story walking into Yanaka cemetery, then went silent so I could feel it. That kind of restraint — I didn't expect it.

James M.

I was nervous flying to Tokyo solo — my English is OK but the language wall scared me. WeGuide narrated my Yanaka morning in clear, calm English, kept me away from the worst crowds, and slipped me into a tiny ramen bar I would never have dared enter alone. I came back with stories no one else in Kraków had.

82% of travelers heading to Japan have no Plan B when something goes off-script — a closed shrine, sudden rain, a queue an hour long.

Everything you might be wondering.

No. Your guide is an artificial intelligence system, as stated in the notice above the plans and in the AI section of our Terms. It narrates, answers your questions and adapts your route as the day changes — but it is not a human guide, and it can occasionally be wrong. Always check critical information such as opening hours, tickets and safety notices at the source. The creator routes are the one place where you hear a real person's voice: a creator's own voice, cloned with their consent, reading their own route.
No. Every fact you'll hear in WeGuide is verified — pulled from our curated database of 1,250+ hand-verified places in Tokyo and the Japan creators we're building this with. The AI is allowed to interpret (a sunset story, a side-street suggestion) — but it's not allowed to invent facts. When it doesn't know something, it says so. Accuracy over confidence — what you hear is what is. You can trust it.
No — WeGuide needs a connection while you're on tour, and there is no offline mode. We recommend an eSIM, Japan SIM, or pocket Wi-Fi router — they work great with WeGuide and most pre-paid travel data plans, and they cost a fraction of what a day of guiding does.
That's actually a great time to start. Plan routes, save tours, build your Profile Builder, browse what each creator is putting together — all free, no time limit. Premium only activates when you press Start Tour, usually on day one of your trip. So you can buy now and start whenever you're ready.
A private human guide in Tokyo runs $50–100+ per hour. Trip Pass is $29.99 for your whole week — less than an hour with a human guide. Premium is $59.99 for up to 5 full days of personal concierge, and if you want the full experience every day, it costs less than Trip Pass with credit top-ups. If it doesn't change how you walk through Japan, you get every dollar back in 30 days.
Because that's how long a trip lasts. We don't want you paying for a subscription you'll forget about once you're back home.
Buy another pass or top up your credits — your balance is visible in the app the whole time.
You lose nothing — slide to the number of credits you need and top up in two clicks, from $4. The more you take in one go, the less each credit costs.
Credits you buy are valid for 12 months from the day you buy them. Your plan's weekly credits are separate: they reset every 7 days, and we always spend those first, so nothing goes to waste. If your 7-day pass runs out before you've used its weekly credits, those expire and you go back to Free — but every credit you bought on top stays on your account.
Premium gives you a choice of polished guide voices. Creator routes are something more: the cloned voice — with consent, and with pay — of a real person you know from YouTube. The creator earns every time they guide you.
Yes — the Free plan lets you generate and walk your first route, and Escape the Crowd works even without an account.
We're a Progressive Web App — runs in your browser, works on iOS, Android, and a laptop. Add it to your home screen if you want a native-feeling icon. No app store, no install, no permissions wall. Just a link and you're in.
English, Polish, and Japanese — your Japanese friend in your pocket, narrating in the language you're most comfortable in. Audio guidance and the text interface both support all three from launch.
100% money back in 30 days. No questions asked. Email us with the word "refund" and we'll process it. We're betting on the product, not on locking you in.
Your Profile Builder answers tune the AI for you — they're not sold, not used for ads, not shared. Tour data (where you walked, which stories you finished) helps the anti-clustering algorithm route the next traveler. You can wipe everything from your account in two clicks. GDPR-compliant. Stored in EU-region servers.

Japan is waiting. You don't have to plan every minute.

Start on the Free plan. Trip Pass $29.99 or Premium $59.99 — for your 7 days, not a monthly subscription. Full refund if you don't feel it. The hardest part of Japan isn't getting there — it's not knowing which alley to turn down. WeGuide solves that, one alley at a time.

PS · Sumimasen — that's the most useful word in Japan. Means "excuse me," "sorry," "thank you," and "could I get your attention" all at once. WeGuide teaches you about ten of these — the ones that actually matter on a Tuesday in Shibuya. The ones the phrasebook leaves out.
